Zero tolerance for bad tech
Shift6 won’t let you down when it comes to the right equipment for the job, so we’ll make sure you have a MacBook / high-grade working laptop that’s no more than three years old, and suitable headphones. We regularly review our systems, software, and hardware, so if there’s anything slowing you down, feel free to let your manager know.
Enable each other’s greatness
While the Shift6 team is dispersed throughout the world, we thrive on supporting one another, and we’re open when it comes to keeping colleagues and friends on track to reach their goals - personal as well as professional. We value emotional support and tools as highly as we do the tech itself, and we make ourselves available to one another to collaborate and talk through workloads, frustrations, and for general wellbeing and morale.
Kindness is key
Not only do we work hard and keep the positivity in Shift6 through great internal comms, but we also extend that kindness and understanding outside the family. This means our client load includes pro-bono and goodwill work, and your input is valued here - whether there’s a particular cause you want to bring to our attention, or if there are projects you’d like to balance your time with - let us know what works for you, and we can explore opportunities.

Shift6 understands that diversity is not a box-ticking exercise, or about a number of representational bodies in a room, but rather creating an systemic structure and ethos that can support and lift team members of all backgrounds, and encourage potential new employees to join a team where they can feel accommodated, understood, and valued.
Keep shifting
Working in tech is exciting because it's constantly changing and evolving, and we carry that mindset with us in our work. We’re always working to become better, to keep learning and growing, so each staff member will have their own development and training plan to work though, and continued support and feedback from their mentor and team members. Our Leadership team will carry out a monthly check on the company, so feel free to make suggestions as to how we can continue to grow and service our clients, improve internal comms, or anything else you might think will make a positive change.
Honesty and integrity
Agency work is fast and responsibilities get moved around a lot, whether it’s a delegation or a moved deadline, and often, surprise challenges from a client/world event/personal issue can turn your day on its head. We keep things as open and honest as possible here - you don’t have to pretend everything’s fine all the time. Feelings have a place and we hear them! All we ask is that you let someone know if you’re struggling, and that we’re clear with each other about workloads, concerns, potential upcoming issues with clients etc. - we can share problems and figure things out together. As long as we’re respectful with one another in communications, and honest with the work we’re doing, then we’re in a good place.
